Eurovision 2023 Round-Up

LIVERPOOL CALLING…

Eurovision 2023 is sadly over, and what a show it was! A well-deserved congratulations must be issued to the city, it’s people and those who made Liverpool’s Eurovision happen. We have had a particularly exciting time here at Liverpool City Sights HQ. Here’s a round-up of some of our favourite moments:

Sonia’s Magical Mystery Ride

Did you catch us on BBC Breakfast on Friday 12th May? Our local Eurovision LEGEND, Sonia, joined our City and Beatles Tour last month. While on board, Sonia spoke with members of staff Chris, Steve and Chloe about how much she loves the competition… even though she was robbed back in 1993! Sonia helped with welcoming passengers on board, waving at passers-by and even had a singalong with Chris.

Ukranian Refugees

Tim Johnson is a UK volunteer from Liverpool working with Ukrainian refugees in Poland who personally funded a trip to bring a group over to Liverpool for Eurovision. We welcomed Tim and the group on board for a tour of the city, to show them the city that was so proudly hosting the song contest on their country’s behalf.

Booking.com VIParty-ing

The official travel partner for Eurovision, Booking.com, chose us to transport them to the Eurovision live shows in style on our VIParty Bus. We even gave the bus a makeover for them!

Cutting Strings Dance Studio Does Eurovision!

On the day of the Eurovision final, we helped Cutting Strings Dance Studio from Old Swan get to John Lewis in final for the performance of their charity single for Alder Hey. Watch their fantastic performance below!
